چکیده

The main purpose of this study is to develop an integrated structure simultaneous generation electricity and refrigeration as the product hot water a by-product. This proposed consists scrubbing biogas upgrading process, molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC) unit, gas/steam power (GSP) cycle, absorption (AR) system. In regard, 10.71 kg/s untreated enters system 158,351 kW net produced. Wasted heat utilized generate cooling 253.9 at temperature 243.6 K by applying AR rest used 8.391 byproducts. process integration between different parts has led increase in thermal efficiency whole so that electrical overall efficiencies are 78.68% 79.86%, respectively. investigation exergy demonstrates destruction entire 71,859 kW, which turbine/compressor/pump section with 24,700 (with share 34.37% total) MCFC/reformer 22,285 31.01% have most irreversibility. hybrid 71.06%. Through parametric study, present various conditions assessed. One results outcomes up 83.39% due reduction inlet methane mole content 50%. Rising biogas, although leading more production products, reduces system, including MCFC unit GSP well total efficiency.

Optimal Design and Operation of a Biogas Fuelled Mcfc (molten Carbonate Fuel Cells) System Integrated with an Anaerobic Digester

In this paper, a hybrid system, obtained by integrating a molten carbonate fuel cell with a micro-turbine is considered. The size of the plant is selected on the basis of the maximum biogas production registered by monitoring annual operation of an operating anaerobic digestion plant. The hybrid system produces electricity and supplies heat to the digester. Heat is necessary to keep correct ope...

Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell Modelling

Hybrid plants where a fuel cell and a gas turbine are combined have attracted the attention of the power system community. In this paper, a model is provided of a Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell stack and of the thermo-hydraulic equipment in which it is embedded. The model is worked out from basic physical considerations; however, it is also simple enough for simulation and control purposes. Besides...

Molten Carbonate Fuel Cells

Molten carbonate fuel cells use carbonate salts of alkali metals as electrolyte. Due to the highly corrosive nature of the electrolyte, various countermeasures are being developed. MCFCs are expected for high-efficiency power generation systems using hydrocarbon fuels, such as natural gas and coal gas. This article describes the mechanisms of operation and cell degradation, as well as the featu...

Analysis for a Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell

In this paper we analyze a planar model for a molten carbonate electrode of a fuel cell. The model consists of two coupled second-order ordinary diierential equations, one for the concentration of the reactant gas and one for the potential. Restricting ourselves to the case of a positive reaction order in the Butler-Volmer equation, we consider existence, uniqueness, various monotonicity proper...
